But taxpayers money should not have to be used for this, it should be against the law, get them off the streets they are an eyesore and a feckin nucance, absolutely no need for it, our country's social system has the mechanism to deal with these people but they choose not to use it, why, because like the article says they are making big money out of it...
Manchester city centres an absolute disgrace, you cannot go 25 yard without tripping over one of them, half of them pretending to sell the Big Issue, Big Issue my arse, drugs,,, it's blatant as anything, but the cops just turn a bind eye...
I'm in the bar in Piccadilly station a few weeks back, a guy approaches the table I was sitting at, he's quite well dressed, not a scruff, cup of Starbucks in his hand, lays some coins on the table and asks if I've got a 50p piece, I start to check my change, then I notice he's only put 40p on the table, I point this out, he says he's out of work,,, I say so am I but I don't go around conning people, now fu#k off,,, he looks at me and calls me tight,,, he got told quite loudly this time to fu#k off,,, he got the message, he was a large deffo not underfed black guy drinking an expensive cup of Starbucks coffee, yet he's trying to con 10p out of me, WTF...
The Manchester Evening news has been running a campaign to try and get something done about it, people are saying they just don't want to come to the city centre because of them, the crime rate in the area is high, plus Piccadilly Gardens stinks of cannabis and piss... Manchester is trying to put itself on the map as a place to visit yet it allows it's city center to look like a camp for down and outs and druggies,,, but come night time where have they all gone,,, HOME,,, yip there is the odd one or two huddled in a doorway but not the hundreds you see throughout the day...
Then you've got the do-gooders, firstly the muppets who give them money (like Nottingham councils ads say to spend on drugs and booze), then the soup kitchen arrives with more feckin do-gooders right in the city centre (Piccadilly Gardens) every night about seven to feed them,,, and what do they do after they've been fed, GO HOME...
The sooner they get them off the streets the better...
