Went to Wisbech Hospital for a check to make sure I can have my ear op. Loads of silly questions all of which the answers can be found in my, not very extensive, medical records. Then I had to go to pathology to have a blood test. Number 83 I was so settled down for a bit cos they were only up to 72. Two lots of twins in front of me, babys in a pram and 8 year olds. Suddenly one of the 8 year olds keels over on the floor. Mummy and daddy panicking I'm trying not to laugh. Daddy has got a Star Trek club t-shirt on, jeez, didnt think they would be breeding but this one had managed it. Mind you his wife was grotesquely fat, and foreign. Anyway staff rush out, screen goes around young girl but we can hear. Has she just had bloods taken? Yeah. They decide to call an Ambulance....... This is a hospital right in the middle of Wisbech, ambulance takes at least 15 minutes to arrive by which time its time for me to be sucked dry. Please dont take as much as you did out of that little girl mate.....
Had to go to nurse clinic later on this afternoon. Diabetic clinic thingy. She done the same thing to me. Weight, Height, blood pressure and yet more blood. Other arm this time. 6 foot high, sorry to boast, 100kgs. Blood pressure first one 125, second one 130. Nurse is pleased so am I, pills must be working then. Soon as I get back from Tenerife I have one appointment Thursday and one on Friday. They are trying hard, bless, to keep me alive!

Good morning. Not actually raining. Look East girl says it will though. Might end up getting wet at Birmingham airport cos I travel as light as possible. So be it. Probably get storms in Tenerife anyway.......... Or maybe not.

Nah, using another week's annual leave for sick. (They watch out for folk who go sick just before they go on holiday. )

I can't see it getting any better without another operation Carol. What are you on antibiotics for?

What does the doc say. will you get another op and quickly? It might pay you to go private to get sorted out properly. I know goes against the grain being a Scotsman but you are worth more than money.

I haven't heard back from them yet Meryl. I got a letter saying "there is another abnormal connection between the bladder and the bowel" and the urologist will talk to the surgeon who did the last op to decide which course of action to take. As for private, I actually went down that road with BUPA the last time. Asked me a load of questions and told me the OP would be £4,500. Then I met the consultant who would be doing the Op and he said, No, an OP like this is £13,000.

So have I! Mine's are for a urine/bladder infection! I'm on something called Nitrofurantoin. That's over and above the Tamsulosin and Omeprazole I've been taking since this whole thing started.
