Still a strong tradition in rural parts. Eileen's dad's grave was dug by friends and neighbours. It's not done by hand anymore. One of the neighbours will own a mini digger and they'll use that. It's a mark of respect for the person that died and its the last thing the friends can do for the dead person. Do you not still do it in rural parts of Scotland or has health and safety stopped it? Don't expect it to happen in England cos they aren't considerate enough.
