They bought a hovercraft at Skeggy yacht club last year to save wading through mud to sort out the channel. Cost 6k I think. Never even seen it yet.
Guess its in the workshop.
Probably useful for blowing out a small fire............
Anyway talking of Skeggy yacht club I got a snotty letter last year asking why I'm not down there sailing and joining in with club activities, and am I only there to get a cheap mooring? NO, the reason is the friggin engines not working and I live 65 miles away.... So I rang the Commodore, thats the head poncho, dont think hes ex Navy but heyho, to explain and he tells me hes not Commodore anymore, there has been a big falling out. He said not to worry anyway, most of the boats never move from one year to the next. Anyway I missed the AGM this year, was in Tenerife,
so I have no idea who is in charge. If I was to guess? The guy who at the previous AGM kept butting in........ I hope not though.
