What do you work at?
Just wondering what other members work at ( if there lucky enought to have a job)? Are some of you retired and what did you work at? We know UD has a garage, I sell renewable energy products and LR examines erections. What do you do?

Re: What do you work at?
I do a lot more than mudguts at an Engineering company, a foster carer and we have a small business, so quiet really.

Re: What do you work at?
Correction, Had a garage and car lot, Earned loads and paid it all out, So 15 years ago started working from home, Big drive and garage, Quiet Cul de sac (was) No really i behave myself, Great Neighbours, no problems Im' quiet and stealth like, Have a few out workers to do dirty stuff, Big place that doe's my mot's and Diagnostics etc.15 blokes at my disposal, A nice quiet cottage industry, No overheads, Perfect, Plus the occasional quality used car,
You couldnt give me a garage, I said to my mate with the mot station, get a lotto ticket you may win a million and pay the bank off. He looked at me and said "I would need two" What i said shocked to the core, And then some ?, Feck me, He's 42 years old, Hardly smiles or laughs, No, Bugger that, Never again, I'm doing ok,

I did that for a couple of years over here. No money in it. I packed it in after working from 6.30am to 7.15pm on a Friday and I took home 43 euro ( and I had to pay for diesel, lunch etc)

I also used to be a payroller when I lived in Dublin. Funny how coincidences happen.
P.S. Morning MM.

Re: What do you work at?
My eldest son was a manager for Levi's and Top shop, Didnt like it, So we got a Taxi, A big one, not private hire, First week he earned over a £1,000, Well happy he was, Now He's lucky to make a decent wage, All because the suntan brigade buy a skoda and say they are part time to keep their benefits, They dont have to pay to go in the station or on the ranks They are not supposed to pick up fares, but they do, The police dont want to get involved for obvious reasons, The job at the moment is crap, I said sell the cab, And join the suntan brigade in a skoda, Skank your way through life, Who set me off this earlyDaryn wrote:Well Im a taxi driver and it aint what it used to be we are all struggling just like everyone else, infact this has been my worst ever week but Im still smiling

Re: What do you work at?
Me - I'm retired (but NOT a pensioner).
Got to 56 years of age and decided that there were more important things in life than work.
Play a lot of golf, do a lot of walking, play the Stockmarket (badly) and generally potter around the house/garden.
I don't read the newspapers any more and haven't had the TV on for months.
Life is good, just hope I can live to be 100 and then get shot by a jealous husband ! ! !
