    I read his story in another paper yesterday and I'm inclined to agree with him that the poppy is now more of a fashion accessory that everyone feels they must also wear or be etrnally damned as un-patriotic. There are stalls in our shopping centre selling anything from poppy patterned pens to poppy emblazoned bags-for-life! Commercialism has taken over the poppy.
