Re: UK Weather
It's to drop to 38 tomorrow, I'll put a cardy on...We have to wear long trousers for dinner so we'll all be sweating buckets! I'm going back on another coach trip tonight to see Illuminated Budapest, so back into shorts for that!

Re: UK Weather
One of the things on the failure sheet was oil on OSF brake disc. Although it passed the brake test. Turns out oil is dripping from turbo. Not much but enough. Spent hour on tinternet getting ideas, can be caused by crankshaft pressure so have diverted breather pipe. Already done new brake pipe to offside rear, surprisingly easy 5 minute job, 2nd hand tyre same wheel. Tomorrow new lower wishbone going on NSF and track rod end, not yet arrived in post but I think its gonna rain anyway. £70 quids worth all told. First MOT failure in 3 years so cant complain. Dont want to sell it really but Patsy has new silly Beetle. So here goes.... 02 diesel 110 elegance estate, 218k miles, 3 lady owners from new, well, 2 ladies and a Patsy. Unmarked interior, outside was same until it fell off ramp on Sunday, small dent in sill now and scrape on lower front bumper. Everything works and a towbar. Go on Reg, hit me with the bad news. Strangely enough spotted similar on Gumtree last week, a bit newer and half the mileage, same kero compliant ASV engine but the Laurin and Kermit model, or whatever it is, leather seats and plush carpet. In Norfolk, no fecker wants to travel here to buy cars, failed MOT on headlight alignment......... Guy wanted £395. So much more sensible than a Beetle FFS!

Re: UK Weather
Talking of the silly Beetle I think I done ok on it really. Paid 1k, its done 106k miles and bloke has had it since it was 4 months old and maintained it religiously. Nice metallic dark grey colour. I had a rear spoiler hanging about in garage so put that on, look from the back and squint a bit and looks a bit like a 911 now. Same year same diesel engine white one with 50% more miles on it made same price on auction last week on ebay, happy enough then. Only bad bit was no alloy wheels but Patsy says she dont care, I do though, have secured some nice Merc ones, same fitment, for £62 on ebay with good tyres. She brakes unnecessarilly a lot for bends so originals will wear out eventually.........

Re: UK Weather
Had to take Jack and Patsy to work this morning at 6am as I need the car, only working and legal one we have at the moment ffs! Got absolutely drenched just walking 50 feet, and wet feet. Parked in a lake it was. Jeez. We are due for some more this afternoon. I have it parked on high ground.
