15k coming up !

I've just been looking at those amazing statistics on the home page.

From a standing start, we now have 75 registered members and the membership is growing daily.

There were 61 people viewing / posting last Friday evening and we are about to hit 15,000 posts ! ! !

AND THAT'S IN JUST THREE MONTHS ! ! !

No punch ups or bickering and just a few plonkers banned who thought they were being clever.

Well done to all concerned - you must be doing something right to create all this interest.

I dont believe it, I was thinking what wooly bear said, How she thought she may interupt a conversation, It sounds a bit private etc, If you came across a forum like this, You wouldnt want to interupt, Maybe thats why some sit on the fence, How can we get around that, Them we know from elsewhere join in, and everything is fine, Any ideas ?

What you need to do is prioritise, focus and generate content to keep the watchers watching and make them feel like registering.

You got a forum that looks snazzy? Good, now you have to work on the content.

But hey you know that it is just that whatever the content it will go OT within 6 posts. :No:

It'll take time UD, Rome wasn't built in a day.

By the looks of things, with all the trolling, bickering and arguing elsewhere people are getting pretty pissed off, so we just watch and wait, I reckon.

Maybe the mods can "cut n shut" threads as the go off topic, that way the conversation will still take its natural course and we'll still have factual on-topic threads?? ( I've no idea how moderating a forum works so I don't know how much work is involved so apologies if I'm talking thro my arse)

Percentage of members to posters on here is much higher than other places.

No Dermot you are not talking through your arse and it only takes a minute but members object when posts are moved and even when we had a poll it seemed that the majority liked posts going off topic. Personally, and I know I am not alone, it is off putting, confusing and I think stops a lot of people joining in because this is when a post turns from a discussion or being informative into a personal conversation and newcomers dont like to interrupt.

Lets start moving into the pub things that go off topic, perhaps we can have menu and they can be placed on the menu.

Off Topic, Its a bit like Glen Miller Differant, One thing that used to wind me right up was having conversations about topics, That veared off, and was between two people late at night, Then some bloody mod just ended it, It had run its course, But two were still discusing something and , Bam, good job i dont have a hand gun, I would be surounded with body's, Maybe we are doing ok because of the way things are on here, I mean On Topic, The illegal letting thread, Round and round and round, If you have a residential apartment dont rent it, If you have a touristic apartment rent it,
Shut the feck up now, All the ones beefing have dropped a large one, They tried to cut corners, They went cheap, They fecked up, blady simple innit,
