Blimey thats a big garden fence you have Daryn, and floodlights too. Are they gonna let you out soon? Talking of which, hope the guy who escaped from Pentonville gets away, total disgrace.

Well it's the calm after the storm here in Blyth seen nowt like that before biblical rain hail thunder & lightning roads flooded cars abandoned everywhere swear I saw a BMW Z3 floating on a roundabout far worse than any disaster film you'll see our cul de sac was flooded we've all been out helping those further down that are lower than us at the top end UNBELIEVEABLE !!!

Glad to hear you are alright. It must be a nightmare for those who are flooded. The mess after the water recedes that you have to try and clear.

Re: The storms are a coming
That BMW Z3 I mentioned was indeed floating, passed it this morning its a complete wright off covered in mud & rubbish boot & bonnet open on major roundabout that's still closed in 2 directions, cars abandoned everywhere its like a film set we were lucky 15 minutes later and we would have been stuck.
Took eldest daughter 3 hours to get home, she had to leave car for nearly 2 hours and walk to nearby supermarket while it passed they was taken people in giving them free hot drinks & food (hats off to Benton Asda), son in law was stuck in work as they closed the massive Newcastle Ministry site (HMRC, Pensions, Inland Revenue etc) closed down because all roads were flooded.
There saying it was a 'Super Cell Thunderstorm' apparently it is one of the most dangerous storms
Not sure how real this is, as it doesn't look like the Tyne River:
This is real:
Some amazing photos of the region under water doing the rounds on Twitter & Facebook, here's some:
