Re: 100 year old driving school...
As I said in post 47 Annie was due to attend a driving correction course due to her being
caught speeding, course was today, four hours, twenty on course, she arrives home booklet/question sheet in hand, I'm having a look through booklet, in the answer box to one of the questions there's a lot of ticks and the figure 17 circled,,, the twenty of them have to watch a driver awareness video and count the hazards coming up in the video,,, Annie counted 17, I say how many were there, she says we weren't told, I ask well how many did others on the course count, she says 40/50,,, mmmmm me thinks that basically sums up Annie's awareness,,, then she pipes up one girl got 5,,, Arghhhhhhhhh theres worse than Annie out there...........

Re: 100 year old driving school...
Yesterday I'm in pub watching football with mate, Annie's at her sisters for dinner, I know they've been talking over the past few weeks about having a short break away for a few days, I get a text from Annie asking how far it is to the south of France and what side of road do the drive on,,, I text back "From Manchester about a thousand miles, and right, Why?"... Reply, oh me and sister thinking of a driving holiday down to there...
She can't drive me two miles down the road in to town to pool or quiz night without some sort of incedent never mind the south of France and having to drive on the other side of road,,, then I thought about it,,, she seems to drive OK on the wrong side of the road in this country...

Re: 100 year old driving school...
Ain't posted on this thread for a bit, was getting same as same as, Annie drives to close, wrong lane etc,,, so today plan is Annie arrives home from work and we head Asda for weekend shop, she texts saying she's leaving office, I'm ready for her arriving but she don't, 25 minutes later than expected she does, I say traffic must have been bad, she says no, I reversed in to a car at car park,,, car parks busy, four cars queue up behind her waiting for her to move out of it, woman in car drives past them and stops just behind Annie with view of taking Annie's space, guy first in queue drives up behind queue jumper woman, drives up behind her to stop her taking space,,, Annie tries to get out of parking space being argued over but reverses in to woman's car........
It's just another scrape on Annie's car, looking at dent and scuff on photo of other car there's a few hundred quids of damage...
She should have just got out and told them to move but just tried to drive away from situation...
Feel a bit sorry for her...
But then again she is a shit driver...

Re: 100 year old driving school...
Mentioned on another thread Annie's daughter was over from Ireland for a few days, their break was delayed for a few days due to Dublin airport being closed with the snow, reason for journey,,, to show her mum her wedding dress...
This is the youngest troublesome daughter, she's just turned 18, bit time back met up with this Irish "traveling" lad whose staying with family in Manchester, his parents live on a travelers site on outskirts of Dublin, he's 22 and an ok lad, I just don't ask what he does...
So they're heading home Friday, Annie has taken day off work to take them to airport (As we want to be 100% certain they go), plan is they are visiting Annie's sister in Cheadle Hume 10 minutes from airport and going for pub grub pre their departure, I ain't going as I cannot stand daughter because of the way she treats her mother, if she comes in to the room I move out or I'd kill her...
So meal over they set off to airport, now as said its a 10 minuet drive, traffic lights bottom of her sisters street turn right, first exit from next roundabout on to M60, then first exit on to M56, then third exit to airport, simples innit, plus it's all signposted,,, but Annie no, she only drives by satnav, if it told her to drive off a cliff she would,,, plan is drop them airport three o'clock for five o'clock flight, so she should be home by three thirty but it's gone five and there's no sign of her...five thirty come she arrives home,,, I say where you been,,, all over feckin Cheshire she replays,,, says she set satnav sisters to airport but at bottom of sisters road it says turn left not right the normal way, so she thinks funny but follows satnav, all over Cheshire, eventually she's is on outskirts of airport but there's road works and diversions that have been going on for ages, there are diversion signs, she ignores them and follows satnav,,, ends up going round and round in circles within the airport complex,,, was gone four o'clock when she eventually dropped them off, they just caught flight...
Oh, and as said at beginning of post reason for journey was to show her mum her wedding dress that his dad's paid over two grand for,,, just one slight problem,,, he's already married..........
That said, it must be a family mother and daughter thing, I'm married,,, just not to Annie,,, phew.........

Re: 100 year old driving school...
And on the subject,,, we're heading Asda a few days back, Annie's driving, we get to the Cycling Velodrome on Gibbon Street, there are two cars in front of us, directly in front of us a flash VW Golf, and in front of it an equally flash BMW, somethings going on between them, BMW keeps braking sharply, Golf is pulling out trying overtake BMW, BMW pulls out blocking it, this happens a few times, Annie just follows closely behind speeding up and slowing down as per other cars, I say pull back, she goes why, I say these two are having a road rage incident give them room, she goes are they,,, totally oblivious to what was going on a few feet in front of her she was...
We get to roundabout where we go first exit, two rowing cars ase still at it and are heading second exit to main road, I say follow them this is gonna end up in an accident or fight or even both, she chickens out and pulls in to Asda car park,,, boring...

Annie's insurance companies just been on the phone to her about above accident, now I got a pretty good idea in my mind what happened from Annie's verbal and excellent sketch of incident,,, I could hear Annie's end of conversation, now if you think that sketch of incident is confusing the verbal explanation down the phone was equally as bad,,, I could just picture the girl on the other end of the phone holding her head in her hands and thinking it's gonna be easier to just pay out...
