65 but no pension!
Made it to 65 on Tuesday but no free money until January for me. Mind you plenty of time for them to change the rules again in the mean time. Patsy has been told her office will be closing by December next year at the latest so there will be two of us with feck all to do.

Belated birthday wishes Vince. Wifi was non-existent on the ship. Sorry, I missed it. (Reg knows how it feels... )

Re: 65 but no pension!
Thanks peeps. I wont be selling the boat. The Devil dont want it lol. I shall look into that info about applying for the pension. Think its January so I shall look forward to some cold weather payment too. Sadly my nearest bus stop is 7 miles away but best I get one of those too, can lend it to Freddie!

If you phone 0800 731 0175 it's a government number for getting data on your forthcoming pension, they ask for basic data such as name, address, date of birth, national insurance number, etc, about a week later you get a letter telling you your pension amount, date due, and if your are short on payments (stamps/or years of payments)...

I need summer cold weather payment too. My heating has been on for the past two nights. I blame global warming.

Re: 65 but no pension!
So I applied for my pension online on the 22nd of November as I had not had a letter. I gave them my bank details but as yet I have heard absolutely nowt. I am due to receive it on Monday so I will check my account then.
Just wondering does it get paid weekly or monthly?
