Do you just enter a Spanish postcode and off it sails into the sunset Vince? What about one way systems on the high seas and does it know where petrol stations are? Are McDonalds freely available in the Bay of Biscay area? These are the sort of things an erstwhile traveler needs to know!

Make sure you go in a convoy (or is it a flotilla?) or you will get lost

I didnt think I would like the Millau Viaduct but it is breathtaking and everyone should drive across it at least once in their lives - especially early morning when you are above the clouds. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: If you could go any route.
Didn´t Norman Foster design some of the housing estates in Milton Keynes? I know he did Wembley Stadium. In the little museum / gift shop at Millau the Brits hardly get a mention, and where it does say he designed the viaduct it is only in French and German - typical !!!

Re: If you could go any route.
They built the bridge to relieve traffic from Millau etc, Now theirs more traffic because people go to see the bridge, Took me ages to drive through the town to the camp site, Top Gear did a piece on the opening , The French forgot to mention a Britain designed it, They would be talking German if it wasnt for us, Cheeky bleeders,

A sexy German accent then. Sometimes I wonder if perhaps we would not be better off, not under a Hitler regime of course but with krauts in control of the economy etc.........

Re: If you could go any route.
Anyway I would go France, Switzerland, Italy. Then back across through Monaco eventually doing Spain and Portugal, via top half of Spain, dropping in to Top of Portugal, down through Playa de Luz, back in to Spain, Costa de Luz. I would then do various bits before jumping the boat to Tenerife.
