I've started getting notifications....

Within the last couple of hours I've started getting notification emails about replies to threads which I never got previously

Mermaid said she got that earlier on as well. Must be a glitch with Forumotion. Give it a wee while and it'll sort itself out.

Blox, 27 new emails. Last one was 20:15 so hopefully the problem is over.

At least the lurkers and bots don't get them (musn't upset them).

Edit: I've just went to my "Profile">"Preferences" and the e-mail buttons were set to "Yes". Check them out everyone and reset to "No". I think there must be a glitch somewhere.

Just checked spam, none there so mine stopped now.

I've just checked your profile Vince. Yours were ticked to receive e-mails as well. I've set them to "No".

I have just looked too Cam but it wont let me reset it ,as soon as I press reset button it goes back to yes again

Set them to "No" and click "Save" button down at the bottom. Not "Reset".

Just got another notification

I've had loads Cru and my profile is showing that NO to this option.

See Sky News has vanished and we are back to Ch 5!!!

I did'nt get any for a few days but now it's started again!

I have not had any yet. I will check the forumotion site

The support forum has said to clear your cookies and cache from your computer and then sign back in and check your profile that your preferences are at no for notifications.

I did that after you posted M and cleared all my cookies etc

Just logged on now and my preferences are saying the following which is what they were set to before I cleared my cookies.

Always notify me of replies : NO

Notify by e-mail when a new message has arrived in my inbox : NO

Notify by e-mail when an Administrator/Moderator sends me a Private Message : NO

But I still received the following notifications and although I logged out at 4.30 ish after checking my settings and logged back in a short while ago and they are still in place. I have received the following notifications with times received.

Not really a problem as I ignore them but others might find it annoying.

This is a on going problem with the host site so sorry folks apart from what we asked you to do ,we just have to wait on the host site,

As Mermaid says this a Forumotion problem, loads of different forums are all complaining on the forum help-line. Just have to grin and bear it until they sort it out. Sorry, I can't do anything.
