Speaking to a resident at the Burns supper last night I mentioned to him about the cold weather down here and he blamed the bleedin golf courses , well said I that explains the bad weather at home then,

Memories, me and ''im (Cyril) and three boys in a beat up banger. Didn't have any suitcases so put a drawer in the boot with all our clothes in there. Did a buy in at Kwicksave put it in boxes on a roof rack we borrowed. Went to a tiny caravan in someone's garden in Scarborough, it persisted down all week. We played scrabble, walked along the prom, had chips (couldn't afford owt else) we still look back on those days. Our grandchildren would laugh at that and walk away, awwwww bliss x
