    Seeing Carson’s name on the list reminded me of this:-

    At Dublin Dave’s the pub landlords birthday bash on Fri/Sat, well in to the early hours of the morning a rather drunk Dublin Dave came over and sat in our company, there was an Irish girl in our company who is over for a few days visiting relatives, somehow her, me and Dave get talking about Frank Carson, I pointed out that he died due to choking on a piece of food, stating it was a cracker! Girl gets the joke and laughs, Dave in a drunken stupor turns to her and very serious with genuine concern says, “what’s funny about the guy choking on a cracker”, girl was midway through having a drink when Dave made his statement, she just couldn’t contain herself, cider coming out of every facial orifice, she nearly choked...
