Morning Jim, she was quite large a while back but started training for marathons, may have some skin excess as she lost it very quickly. Yes she is 52 was born the same year as Jan and me.

Just read a more detailed report on the incident, sounds frightening:-
Even although Lorraine had only recently begun horse riding with the view of raising money for her sponsored charity the “PiggyBankKids”, and was relatively inexperienced having only had a few lessons, she mounted the horse unassisted, the horse immediately sprung into motion. It galloped along at a steady pace, but the Scots ITV morning TV presenter began to slip from the saddle. In terror, she grabbed for the horse's mane, but could not seem to get a firm grip, she then threw her arms around the horse's neck, but she slid down the side of the horse. The horse continued galloping along, seemingly oblivious to its slipping rider. Finally, giving up her frail grip, she leapt away from the horse to try and throw herself to safety, unfortunately, her right foot had become entangled in the stirrup; she was now at the mercy of the horse's pounding hooves as her head struck against the ground over and over. As her head was battered against the ground, she was mere moments away from unconsciousness when to her great relief; the Asda manager sees her and shuts the horse off.

She is appearing on Jeremy Kyle after her Monday show, with the horse, who will be taking a lie detector test. The Horse was asked if he did it on purpose but said, Neh.
