Better half just bagged us a 6 day break in Los Boliches (just outside Fuengirola) all in for £375, that's 2 return flights and 6 nights at top notch apartments.

Had the week before the Jubilee Bank Holiday booked off work and had looked for a possible deal to get away Marmaris came up but once you added transfers cases etc it came in at £600 for 7 nights.
Then last night while checking Jet2 the return flights to Malaga were only £100 pp, however the apart-hotel we like was actually cheaper through Travel Republic than doing it as a package through Jet2.

Love Los Boliches its quiet with a lovely back street of bars, restaurants & cafes just off the Paseo Maritimo & beach, and within walking distance of Fuengirola but far enough away.
Good mix of Spanish & ex pats and the more discerning grown up tourists the local transport links are superb the train system from Malaga airport is superb.

Certainly visit some of the rural Spanish villages.
Mijas being the most famous stunning white washed traditional Spanish village which was a favourite of Princess Diana.
