I went to Alcala this afternoon, then pulled down the Fonsalia road to see if there was any progress with the new port. Zilch all that was there were two bloody big guard dogs jumping up at the fence. It was then I realised the battery in my camera was flat !!!
We walked the coastal path to San Juan then back again and once on our way home decided to take the road from Playa San Juan up to Guia de Isora to see how the motorway extension was getting along.
After 9km we saw this bridge. It is in exactly the same state as when someone (don´t know who) took this photo. We eventually reached the new roundabout...........
It looked rather flash but the signs were all in yellow and one said No Entry. Ignoring it because another sign said acceso autopista we drove a few hundred yards and were met by a bunch of old Canarian ladies all wearing hats and carrying brushes which they waved at us. A guy came out and told us we had to turn back as the road wasn´t finished. Fortunately we weren´t the only ones there were 3 cars who all had to do a U turn (how do you write U.eee)
Under the roundabout and after 1km came out at Guia de Isora and continued back to Adeje. 500m from the roundabout on the TF1 the new roadworks stop but along the route you can see clouds of dust so someone is working....... The purpose of this post is that someone was asking if the road was finished. Think it may have been 3F - if so, don´t bother going to Los Gigantes that way otherwise you will have 9km on the very twisty road down to San Juan.
