I don't understand the timing of this... about 2 weeks before Christmas. Surely fans will be needing their money for their families?

Re: If Rangers go down the Pan.
Rangers chief executive Charles Green believes that the club should attempt to quit Scottish football if league reconstruction plans are approved.
He says the new set-up will render the remainder of the
season meaningless and he insists it is only cash that is driving the
adoption of the plan.
He told Rangers TV:
"If this does happen what is the point of us finishing the season? We
might as well have a winter break now until next August. I can't see any
point in carrying on with meaningless matches."

I suppose he's thinking that if it happens, Rangers will still be in the 3rd division.

On teletext it quotes him as saying that Rangers will quit Scottish football if the plan is approved.
Wonder which League he thinks will welcome them >>

I'm sure I read somewhere just recently that UEFA doesn't allow teams to change countries. (Mind you Berwick Rangers has got away with it).

It was a condition of their acceptance as Associate members of the SFL that they had to accept any punishments against the old club if my memory serves me correctly. Also, they were only found not guilty of part of the charges. In any case, the SFA (just like the FA with John Terry) can use their own rules to investigate and punish if required. If they can't do that then football is finished because if the body in charge of the sport can't actually discipline a club using it's own rules we might as well shut up shop and sell off the resources as development plots.

Re: If Rangers go down the Pan.
So, on that basis if they make a rule that it’s ok to have racist chants and bigot songs at matches that’s ok...
Sounds as if they’re a bit of a law unto themselves...
