I may be wrong on this but I think that Liquidation and Administration are totally separate.
Reading the report which I've copied above, the judge seems to be saying that now that the liquidation process has started, he is delaying the signing off of the Administration process until the position on conflict of interests is resolved.
It's not entirely surprising that there's a conflict of interest question mark though as the Administrators were actually appointed by Craig Whyte when it became clear that HMRC were about to get the court to appoint Administrators.
