I'm the first back left the other supping and enjoying their hols. However, being the eldest I have the most responsibility (dogs to feed).
We had a fantastic time (well I certainly did and I think the others did too). Generally, when you meet someone for the first time after corresponding with them for an age you feel you know them so first views are sometimes strange as they are nothing like you thought. Well 'our lot' are exactly as they appear on here. We laughed and chatted the whole time, there were none of those quiet moments when people don´t know what to say. It was as if we had all known each other forever.
Mr Babe Magnet caught the eye of the waitress who invited him to step this way, as they discussed the bill. (So it is all true and not in his dreams). Mind he nearly tripped up, as he made sure we all noticed what was happening.
TD a lovely generous man brought me some decent chocolates (unlike the Spanish crap they call chocolate here) and a load of CD/DVDs for K9. I am scoffing a champagne and blackberry one as I type, yum, yum.
LR & Mermaid the nicest couple anyone could want to meet and Vince was on his best behaviour IMO he was the quietest which was the biggest shock not saying that he was that quiet just that the rest of us were gassing nineteen to the dozen.
It was lovely to meet the OHs and because talk did not centre around TFoF, everyone felt part of the afternoon. It was a bit chilly at the Beach Club so after a couple of hours we eventually moved inside the McGuiness bar (Reg was right 2 star compared to us 5 star people).
It was a shame Vera couldn´t make it, Shiv was working so we didn´t expect her and strangely enough both LR and I thought we may have had a visit from Jimbo, but unfortunately we were disappointed.
We all send our very very grateful thanks to the GENTLEMAN that sent us money for some drinks, it was greatly appreciated
Here we are you can see we are a good-looking crew. Don´t know what they will be doing this evening but they didn´t leave the Irish Times until gone 3.00am this morning. LOL
