Warning - Paypal Phishing Scam

I'd just like to warn anyone using Paypal that there is a very clever phishing scam going around at the moment.
You are sent an email that looks really authentic with correct logo and layout you expect from Paypal.
It then asks you to click a link which redirects you to a login page identical to the Paypal homepage and by logging in, it states that the login details are incorrect, by which time your details have already been phished.

Be very careful not to fall for it if you use Paypal.

Below is an excerpt of the message:

"Dear Customer,

We need your help resolving an issue with your account. To give us time to
work together on this, we've temporarily limited what you can do with your
account until the issue is resolved.

We understand it may be frustrating not to have full access to your PayPal
account. We want to work with you to get your account back to normal as
quickly as possible.

What's the problem?

We need a little bit more information about you to help confirm your
identity.

Case ID Number: PP-001-487-280-335"

Make sure that whenever you use Paypal, never use links in emails or elsewhere.

Always type the Paypal address directly into your browser.

Never trust a link and always view it as suspicious.

I don´t use it but lots of people (some on here) do so great advice.

I have frequently had these types of emails from "paypal" coming into my junk mail. I delete them every time. I guess some people fall for them though

I've had a few as well Cru. A big clue is the word [bulk] in the e-mail address.

Not noticed the "bulk" before Cam but why would it go into my junk mail?

Maybe one of your default filter settings is catching it.

This email came directly to my domain email address.
To send a message using the contact form on my site, the user has to complete a captcha code which is hard for bots.

Obviously they are now resorting to manual submissions.

The email has Paypal Team as a title and address is team-paypal.com

That sounds bad, however because I'm so ignorant I just delete them all! close my paypal account if you like then I'll just open another sort of thing

Sensible and I agree it's probably the safest option sometimes. :)
