    Flight from London Heathrow crashes in south of Gran Canaria while coming in to land, 79 dead and 77 injured.”

    If this news was true, it would be a terrible tragedy but the emergency services have to be ready and able to deal with all scenarios. The Full Story

    It is one thing to do a mock exercise but it could be so different in reality. I just hope it never happens.

    I for one am happy that they have had a little practice I would hate it to happen and then they suddenly say Oh er, what should we be doing, who does what, where should we be, at least this way they have some idea of what could be expected should the unthinkable ever happen.

    Hmmm, if the landscape around their airport is like that around Tenerifes I dont hold out much hope of ANY survivors. A bit hard that limestone is.
