It's now in Essex and I reckon they must be scraping the bottom of the barrel.

    BBC News

I ask you - what on earth has HE got to do with the Olympics, sport, fitness etc.

I could suggest a lot of more deserving people to carry it.

Oh ! ! ! Unless, he's got another book coming out soon ?

I like Jamie Oliver... well I like his food anyway. Maybe the health aspect is because of what he did with school dinners? Dunno.

My friend Geoff is carrying the torch for a bit too... though am unsure of what area - guessing South Coast somewhere. He was the first disabled sailor to sail around the British Isles single handedly... and then first across the Atlantic too (he's a quadraplegic).

Yeah - he's very excited about it. They sent him an outfit to wear (white t-shirt... white trousers) But the trousers are about 4 inches too short, and there's no hem his wife can let down. LOL!

Just checked, and it's Dorset where he's doing his bit.

I liked the way the cop dragged him into the path of the car, hope they're not carrying guns! The torch 2419626307 On a more positive note I am pleased to report that the silly torch never came within 25 miles of my house, result.

The Torch comes through here next week. We are one of the better towns round here but it is missing us. It is driving through but going to a right rough town about 7 miles away. Not being a snob or anything but there is a huge population of dole scroungers there and in our town it is quite affluent. Bugger them.

No not at all, we are avoided and yet we have contributed to it.
It is about where they may get the crowd I suppose, most of this town will be working. We have great events and festivals, they have a town where they wreck most things.
I get it though, so before you think I am a snob I was bought up on a council estate, we had nothing but all worked hard. Not getting at people on the dole, if they have no choice. Many just like it that way because it is an easy life and hey get dumped in the town I am talking of. There are some nice area's and nice people and we do own a flat in that town. Why avoid us though.
