I was immediately going to say Los Cristianos going on to Las Americas but then the road is wrong, so I don't know - up north somewhere maybe Santa Cruz?

This is Fab when Gypsy or Queenie tell you where it is, as I am sure they will, perhaps a bit about it can then be displayed.

I am not a beach person but that looks like El Medano Playa de la Tejita if so I like this one at the other end of the town - El Pelada

You are Right of course Gypsy, perhaps you may have something in your vast book of info that can be placed in our Hidden Secrets bit.
Oh and post another, try catching us out.

I thought I had already posted this picture (not one of mine I'm afraid) but I think this is somewhere TD may know or at least he has been pretty close to where this is.
You want info on El Medano, there is a naturist beach, everyone is a bit bohemian, and they have a nice little market on a Saturday. Generally windy and the planes can be intrusive and although it is a resort is still very Spanish.
Only place I have eaten, apart from a couple of cafes, is Yaiza a German restaurant and it was just OK.

No you are going in the wrong direction, but it is in the south. Start at the airport and head towards Santa Cruz

No, I assume you mean Punta de Abona with the lighthouse Faro de Abona. You are close though, about 6 - 8k too far east.

If that is the leper colony at Abades, Noinnit wrote:

Abades is too far down the coast but a lot closer than Los Abrigos.
It is generally very quiet through the week but bursting at the seams at weekends. There are some lovely fish restaurants and you can forget speaking English, do as I do and just point.
It is between A and B on here
