Re: Forest Fire?
It looks as if it is at the back of my house, but from here can´t see or smell any smoke.

Re: Forest Fire?
Seen comments on other forums and they seem to think it's in the Ifonche region...

Re: Forest Fire?
If you listen hard you can hear the bomberos, they have just gone up our hill and I can now just faintly smell the smoke.

Re: Forest Fire?
Apparently it is in the Ifonche area.
I have just posted a video on The Beach [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] that "Tenerife Outdoors" posted on Facebook.

Re: Forest Fire?
The following are reports from News in the Sun
The first one was received at midnight [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and then just 7 minutes ago I had the following
>>> Forest Fire Still Raging This Morning
Residents of Tijoco Alto have now been evacuated as a precaution, while the forest fire which started in Vilaflor yesterday still burns.
The left front which is advancing quickly towards Guia de Isora county is out of control despite the efforts of Fire-fighters, Military Emergency Units and three more emergency helicopters.
The right front which is burning near Trevejo is now contained but still not under control.
Cabildo head Ricardo Melchio told reporters at an 8am press conference that between 300 and 400 hectares have been affected, but that a 1,200 hectares perimeter is at risk.
Arson is suspected. <<<<

Re: Forest Fire?
I have been in touch with Carol and she is trying to get a flight out next week but the prices are horendous! I doubt their house is in danger though as it was not in "the bush" I offered to go up and check for her but the roads have been closed. I'm sure things will be fine for them
