My mate owns a bar on La Paz, Lazy Daze and it is having a refit at the moment, very friendly place.

Went to The Pub (Tonypub) last month, some foul mouthed fat bloke was on stage. Two fat cockney birds tried to make friends with me......eeek, I do have standards. Nice pub, nice bloke.

It hadn't opened the last time we were out (May 2011), but I have seen a lot of good write ups about it. Will have a look in when we're over.

John and Darren who own it are lovely people. Johns wife also works there but Darrens OH is in Ireland and just pops back and forward. They are lovely hosts and the foods is good too.
Sean (Seancelt from TF) does the evening entertainment and he and Imelda looked after it when the guys had to go back to Ireland at shortish notice. He is also a nice guy so it was in good hands. It would be nice if he could also find a suitable place I am sure he would make a success of it.

I've always avoided Irish bars when on me jollies, but since joining this forum and listening to you guys, I'm beginning to wonder if I'm missing out. Will take in a few Irish places this summer ( purely for research purposes of course)

Theres an Irish bar over the road to me on Golf del Sur. Called Grandee O'Donnells. Need a mortgage for a pint and the staff are sullen, probably pissed off with everyone saying 'how much?' So called live musics crap too.

First drink I ever had in Tenerife was Grandee O'Donnel's. Was on a golfing holiday and staying at Las AdelfasII behind the pub. Beautiful apartments they were.Perfectspecimen wrote:Theres an Irish bar over the road to me on Golf del Sur. Called Grandee O'Donnells.
