I hate landing! I don't mind the take-off but the landing scares the crap outta me!

I was only frightened once, that was the approach coming into Cancun. Airport is surrounded on 3 sides by high mountains . After a very sharp turn we were then buffeted by winds blowing over the top of the hills. I was bricking it

Re: Plannng On a Plane trip Soon
We almost landed and went back up early this year, came in ti Gatwick and the runway had vehicles on it. I said to Jan we are coming in too fast (I have got some flying lessons behind me). We then came in a second time still too fast, and he had to go over the vehicles and land with a short runway, emergency brakes went on then.
We landed at Luton after a cruise a few years ago, Wind and torrential rain, we were going from side to side, 3rd attempt we touched down but it was horrendous, all the women crying, everyone clapped and crapped.

Yeah i hate flying, if we were meant to fly we would have wings, i remember before we landed in U.K we had to stay in the air for 20 minutes while the other traffic landed, the pilot thought it was a good idea to sway the plane left to right so we could have a site sea in the air, That did it for me really.

My worst exprience was in 68 we were en-route for Antigua and had to re-fuel in Bermuda , only one problem there was a hurricane blowing , we lost both front wheels and as they only carry one spare we had to wait until another spare could be sent out , the smell of fear is exactly the same as the smell of you know what , we had S.P.G cops with us and most needed a pants change
