    Never understood paying for water, only time ever bought it was when abroad and advised not to drink local tap water, that said when living in Tenerife although being told the local tap water was ok to drink always used the bottle stuff, but always bought in the biggest cheapest bottles you could get, nothing to do with being environmental correct, just the cheapest way to do it, you could get about 8 litres for the same price as a few centilitre bottle in the fridge...

    The wee bottles are handy when you're going for a longish walk. I don't fancy having to carry a minimum 1 litre bottle around. OK, if you want to look like a prat with a haversack on your back, but I generally just carry it in my hand.

    It’s the appliance of science...

    1. Transfer water from 8 litre bottle in to smaller 1 or 2 litre size bottles to fit in fridge.

    2. Transfer water from the 1 / 2 litre bottles in to smaller 33cl bottles to carry around.

    Yes this does mean purchasing a few of the more expensive smaller quantity bottles, but once you’ve poured out the expensive water and replenished the smaller bottles from the big bottle your back drinking the cheaper product...

    All us Scots aint silly...

    8 litres delivered to the front door every week, €1.10 and they take the empties away too. So it costs €0.02cents more than the supermarket but no taking up the whole of your trolley with bottles, no lugging in and out of the car either so IMO worth it.

    That's exactly what we do when we're over Adam. I’ve always thought it was a load of piss... 294053457...and another tip, if you stay anywhere near the Mercadona in Los Cris, wheel the messages home in the trolley you put a € coin in and by the time you have got the messages indoors, some fecker will have nicked the trolley and taken it back to Mercadona for you to get the €! (Worth a € to save the walk back).
