Helicopter tours

I'd like to try this with the gf, although it'd scared the poop out of me. Have any forum members used this tour?

Never have and never will TOFIS. Not good with heights

No but have spoken to Ket of TS about it. We are a bit busy at the moment but certainly going to do it at some point this year. It is about €90 for the cheapest session.

No but I have been up in a sea king and a wessex, bloody fabulous. Also had flying lessons in a Cesna and anyone that is scared of small aircraft, don't be. My buddy Gaz came up last time I flew and he was bricking it, when we landed he said it was fab and went with someone for another flight the next week. It is a great buzz and so free.
Helicopter a bit different, especially as one of my times I was on a stretcher with blood hooked up, I had profuse blood loss from an injury on board ship.
Other 2 times was one of lifes great experiences, do it again anytime.

We went down the Grand Canyon in a helicopter and it was brilliant, not scared at all. It just felt so open and the views all around were fantastic. Nothing to be scared of.

We have a hell of a lot of cruise ship visitors who do this on their day visits to Santa Cruz.

I survived the 'copter ride! Hurrah!

My first trip in a helicopter was fun. I'd love to claim I braved it like a hero but I was pooping myself for half of the 20 minute tour. You really get close to the mountains, and the wind blows a (little) bit. I'm sure it's all perfectly safe, the pilot clearly knew his stuff, and I'd probably be less nervous on a repeat flight.

Overall, a good experience. The team running the tour seem to be working their socks off. Good luck to them.

Love Heli#s, been in a sea king and a wessex. next move TOFIS is pilot a Cesna, great experience, after a couple of tries they let you take off and land, the guy is on your case prepared if it goes wrong, but fabulous.
