Can ex-pats and visitors speak Spanish?

The residents of the rock speak the lingo ?.

Always wondered if Gypsy,PS, Cru etc can actually speak some or any Spanish be it to get there pint across or hold a conversation.

Wife's taking up the offer of free Spanish lessons at work and will pass her wisdom onto me ( learning it won't be the difficult part for her believe me it will be her passing it onto me !).
We always end up somewhere Spanish during the year so will be helpful and have always wants to spam enough to get by at least.
(I know there's was/is a thread on here but can't read it on my phone or iPad as it needs Flash player)

We know people who run a bar in PDLA (Destinys) and John & Linda can get by just wondering how those who live here get by.

So who can soak the lingo and I don't mean 'dos cerveza a por favour'

Some good apps out there for translations which have prove helpful when away.

i did a degree in spanish so i would probably get by once i practice a bit.
i tried to start a spanish thread when i first joined and didn't get much response other than some joking half german/english thing

I don't know about who can speak Spanish, though I try when on holidays, but, whoever wrote the title of this thread can't spell in English

Welcome to the madhouse Slink. There is indeed an app for it. Topdog has it on his phone. Don't know the name of it though
