Since you changed the top bar it no longer tells you that a new message has arrived unless you scroll over it. Poor Howard probably thinks I'm ignoring him and no matter how loud he shouts I wont hear! Can this be changed back again to how it was?

Click on "UserCP", then "Preferences" and make sure you tick the box in the piccy. Then click on "save" at bottom.

It was ticked to yes but I have now added this site to a list of allowed pop-ups. Was working fine before though, something to do with templates?

I have one of those, the trouble is the email I registered with is one that I use to send information out to various people rather than the email I use daily so I only check it once a week to see what is outstanding. Doh!!

We have one of those Tom, as long as it is set in "Preferences" to "Display a pop-up window for new private messages". You have to make sure your browser pop-up blocker is disabled for this site though.

I think that is where I went wrong. I have gone into Google Chrome Options and under the bonnet I have said in the pop up section, Allow [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] so will that do it?
