el medano - fastest internet in south tenerife !!

just had my SECOND installation in el medano for VDSL with a current speed of 30mb with it going up to 50mb next year ... all for €29 a month ,plus free local,national calls
with line rental this costs €45 a month ...
you must live within 800m of a FIBRE OPTIC NODE ,which is normally near a school/health centre

in santa cruz they are installing FTTH where a 100mb fibre optic cable runs passed you home .however this will not happen in low population areas ,this will be FTTC where the fibre optic will go to a BOX near you and you pick it up on you normal copper cable you have coming into your house ...so the max speed is about 30mb..

NONE OF THE ABOVE SERVICE ARE (and never will be ) AVAILABLE TO NON-MOVISTAR PROVIDERS

´´el telefono 12345 no es valido´´ means that you are not entering a valid phone number
like ´92212345,which is 922 for tenerife,then your 5 digit number - are you typing 00 34 before it as you are in england??

I'm in Tenerife, using a proxy for work. My phone number begins with 8, which confuses even some Movistar staff, but it's real :)

yes i see,the program only works on 9s,and it only checks the exchange your on not your
own line ,so put in your own number but 9 on the front ..that will tell you speed on your exchange . i can get an exact speed from movistar if you wish ...
please note VDSL is only available via movistar sa .other resellers get their lines from telfonica wholesale SA which is the old public network in 1997.any upgrades that the private movistar sa have installed since then are only for its customers.

To clarify, add a 9 to my existing number? Or replace the leading 8 with a 9?

My line is direct with Telefonica.

change 8 for a 9
or just give me the 822xxx part of your number as that is the exchange info
