What a gorgeous looking place Cam. Nice Colvic Northerner in centre of picture 1. Ideal fishing boat and roomy inside. (Dark blue hull and tan cockpit cover) You can impress the locals now by knowing what its called. Dysart harbour in Fife. 3025408739

When you take a mast out it comes out of a wee recess or "step" made for it to sit in on top of the keel. So when they "re-step" it, they are putting it back into place. (Vince will correct any errors I'm sure. Dysart harbour in Fife. 3025408739).

Yep pretty much correct, although on most modern boats it just sits on top of the cabin with usually a pole inside under it. That pole comes in jolly handy too for hanging on to! Suspect the one in mine is an old scaffold pole. Dysart harbour in Fife. 3025408739
I have recently removed all the running rigging (ropes) on mine to put through the washing machine. Came out good as new too! I attached some thin rope to the ends when I took them off thinking I will be able to pull them back through the pulleys on the top of the mast. Now do you think they will go through again? No! Did they feck. Dysart harbour in Fife. 1498946960 So I'm now on the lookout for a similar sized wall or wharf so I can feed them back through cos theres no way I'm going up there. :Not me Guv:
