Evening all. Calima today but not bad. Took some photos of the marina today for Vince. Haven't a clue about boats but they look expensive!

Just had unsolicited call from 'UK Health Department', Indian/Yank accent? I dont watch US films because I have difficulty following the lingo so add some suntan and thats it, might as well talk to me in semaphore.
I havent purchased tickets Kev, just keeping my finger on the pulse. As you said islands quiet, UK having good summer, and after last nights Ryanair prog on Ch 4 I expect a few cheapy's out there end of August.
Have a nice day and a thousand thank yous for viewing........

Saw that advertised, said pilots were spilling the beans for lack of better words, didn't watch it, so were the pilots ex Ryanair or just about to become so...Perfectspecimen wrote:Just had unsolicited call from 'UK Health Department', Indian/Yank accent? Only saw last half of it, arguments on both sides really but of course no Ryanair planes have run out of fuel yet......The problem is most other airlines run a closed shop for crew, not so Ryanair, they are on Zero hours contracts. Read a pilots forum a while ago and a few were moaning on there but mysteriously retracted their statements. Guess they got a letter from someones lawyer.Adam Mint wrote:Saw that advertised, said pilots were spilling the beans for lack of better words, didn't watch it, so were the pilots ex Ryanair or just about to become so...Perfectspecimen wrote:Just had unsolicited call from 'UK Health Department', Indian/Yank accent? I should go round there and bang their silly heads together. Another thing, the kids keep screaming cos they want something, Daddy immediately gives in. WRONG.

Its easier to give in than bring out the tough love, We know its wrong but we do it,
Why ? because we want them to love us, and we are scared they wont if we dont bung them the odd car or deposit on the house,
At the moment i am under pressure from elder siblings to give them what they want, I am thinking it will be easier in the long run to give in than stick to my guns and do what a dead parent wanted,
But i fear its gone too far to ever put things right, Damned if i do and damned if i dont,
We all have this perception of what people think of us, but i'm finding out thats not the case,
To say i'm 59 and still learning about human nature is an understatement,

Dont give in Reg, think of it as a tax break. God has rewarded you for being good and productive. Well, creative with words anyway.
