Parque Santiago II
Can anyone recommend?? Is it noisy in that area? If its not here, then we'll probably look at Fuerteventura next year. It seems to represent much better value for money than Tenerife. Don't know whats going on, but prices are going through the feckin roof!

Re: Parque Santiago II
I thought but am happy to be corrected that Parque Santiago 2 is residential so it is illegal for holiday lets. One side is opposite the back side of the Patch and it is scruffy as it faces Bad Bobs, some sex club called Apples I think and the Flying Dutchman. (and my hairdressers).
The other PS complexes are legal and all very nice. I think 3 and 4 are the best as 5 doesn´t have a pool but if you book there you can use the others.

Got to agree with Adam on Fuerta, you thought there wasn´t too much to do in Lanza go to Fuerta and you will think you have died and turned into a camel. Nowt but bloody sand dunes.

Re: Parque Santiago II
Agree with Gypsy that's our understanding of the Parque Santiago's, once spent an afternoon chatting to someone over drinks in the bar just before the steps down to what was the Brewers Droop, they lived in II and had for some 10 years we thought it was lets but there owned but back then many used to let them out to friends and relatives.
3&4 are supposed to be canny sure holiday companies offer them and letting companies such as Owners Direct.

Re: Parque Santiago II
Been looking on lots of sites. There is a good choice available at reasonable cost in Tenerife but not with aircon. After last years debacle with the cockroach/ant infestation, we would be wary of going without again. Portable aircon units are noisy and Eileen got feck all sleep in Lanzarote which meant that she was grumpy, which meant that I got the thick end of things, which meant that I was grumpy, which meant that any horizontal jogging was off the menu!

3d first of all forget aircon I will lend you a mobile unit, secondly, put some emails out about ps2, it is quiet and Gypsy is right but none of the ones I know face owt bad.
Not sure about illegal but these were friends I let off so may be ok.
I will look for you, sort flights you will get somewhere, if not I will get my estate agent mate Danny to sort something.

Re: Parque Santiago II
OK I know it and it is a nice complex but it is IMO on the 'wrong side' of the motorway for holiday makers It is Island Village and they no longer have a restaurant (James Brasserie) which used to be fab this is being turned into a new Iceland / Overseas store. It is directly opposite Aqualand. Oh and it is a large complex that goes up several levels.
Here are the reviews [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: Parque Santiago II
My friends went to Fuerta this year and asked us to go with them as we have holidayed together off and on for years now.
I done a google maps walk around and would advise anyone going away to do this, honestly their is nowt about, its a dead zone lol, I told my mate I wouldn't last there. I looked over the Island and its baron. Our friends loved it as the hotel was lovely, BUT they stay in a hotel throughout the holiday and always go A/I, I like a lively resort as a base and places to visit. By the way hello everyone lol

Maybe a section with these links would be handy for people to find.

I have also emailed ocean management for you, they control Parque santiago 11. The round bits by the beach are incredibly nice and great views

If I can get enough links/contacts Daryn, I can set it up easily enough. The thing is will the contacts want to be on here or have a bit of anonymity?Daryn wrote:Maybe a section with these links would be handy for people to find.

Good enough, I'll set up a new category under "Advice for living in Tenerife" and call it "Accommodation". You can add to it by posts....Topdog wrote:ones i will give are out there for all to see Cam

Think Reggies place has air-con. :roach: Think these are all over the place, found one in my apartment the last time I was there but luckily I'm in the same block as the President.
