London to Edinburgh in a day, WoW...

If this is the future stuff it, longest round trip I ever done in a day, Edinburgh to Southampton and back, 999 miles, felt like going round the roundabout at the end of my road a few times just to round it off to a 1000, but was a bit knackered...

These charge points, do you pay for electricity, and if you do how, and how much...

that is a long car journey

It was business, finished about seven at night, could have booked in to a hotel, but would just have sat in the bar until midnight, then would still have had the drive the next day, plus it was a Friday, so just wanted to get home for the weekend...

Would the train have been a better choice?

No! far too sensible  

 

There's one of those charging points in Aberdour train station carpark. If you're getting the train, what's the point?

Had business earlier in the day in Trowbridge so car was best option...

Recall having to get down to Chelmsford at short notice, taking the time from when i left to go to Edinburgh airport, the time checking in, flight to Standstead, hiring a car when I got there and the drive to Chelmsford, would almost have deen as quick driving down, drove back via Manchester to carry out a bit more buissiness then up to Edinburgh dropping the hire car off at the airport, again all done in the same day, never had to charge the car once,,, it was petrol...

Did you notice if people have to pay to use it...

Had a look on the net, couldn't find anything about charging costs in the UK, would seem in America some are free, some you pay, about $2 a charge, would also seem there are "charging wars" with people fighting over charge points due to the lack if them,,, it's the future...

I seem to remember the goverment getting everybody into diesel cars because its better for the planet and diesel was cheaper, So we all did and the thieving goverment makes diesel more expensive even though its cheaper to produce,
So to sum up, As soon as everybody moves on to electric cars they will shaft us again,
Feck this country and everybody that runs it, Anarchy thats whats needed,   

Diesel over here is about 10 cent cheaper than petrol. Works out about £1.15 a litre

I can't remember if it was free or not, there was no fecker using it anyway!
