Whats there? Anything to do? Nice restaurants/ bars etc? I remember driving around it once and it just felt a bit isolated. It was a fair bit down off the main road and very little by way of bars etc until we got to the sea. Is it still like this?

I always think it is a dump but in fairness it is getting to be a better dump now they have a beach and a couple of halfway decent restaurants.   It said it all when the name of the area that the bars are in used to be called the 'Rat Run'

That was from a tourists point of view however if you lived there there are some beautiful houses.

Isn't that where the old TTF used to hold their quiz night? Can't remember the name of the bar.

Yes - can´t remember the name of the bar either but a really nice guy called John ran it when we went.  We took foodstuffs along for some nuns who used to pass them on to the needy.

Don´t know he was Big John, she was a small blondish woman if I remember correctly very quiet they seemed a nice couple.

The bar was in a square down THIS walkway and a Brit couple ran it.  I think it has now closed.
