Its symptomatic of all the world's great cities. All landmark property being bought by foreign millionaires. The Barclay brothers own half of Moscow. I think the Battersea Power station only recently was sold to Malaysian consortium. They all seem to go for the most iconic of property as if to say "Look at me. I feckin loaded". I dont mind who owns what as long as the planning authorities are very strict regarding any development and ensures that the heritage of the building is looked after.

Yep, there is a big coal fired power station up the A1 just as you cross the border into North England, mountains of coal and big chimneys spouting smoke, turn left for Sheffield. Miss it?

Rochdale MP. Not guilty, he died first, like Savile. Must be a Yorkshire disease. Dont tell Reg. Rochdale might be over the border though........ Not really my specialist subject the North. I've heard some disturbing stuff about Brighton though.

i see that the FRENCH GOVERNMENT are delaying the building of new ATOMIC POWER STATION in somerset as they need the bits for their new ATOMIC POWER STATION in NORMANDY ,along with the one they are building in FINLAND .... so its good that everyone lives in 200 year old houses and can open up their fireplaces and burn all those UKIP leaflets to keep warm this winter ...maybe find a child to sweep the chimney (on a zero hours contract)
