Beef stew and mashed potatoes followed by lemon sorbet. 9.5 / 10

Last edited by Gypsy on Thu 15 Dec 2011 - 21:22; edited 1 time in total (Reason for editing : Forgot to give a score but it was bloody lovely even if I say so myself, and I made it all even the sorbet.)

Tonight we are having cod for dinner. Cru tells me it is more healthy to do it in breadcrumbs instead of batter, so be it then. Later I will have numerous beers to counteract the calorie inbalance. Cheers.

You could fry them in a smidgen of olive oil Vince (not deep fried with batter is what I meant) then when they are cooked you could put them in newspaper to obsorb any excess oil....

Blimey, a right bunch of Fanny Craddocks we have on here. They were cooked in frying pan with some veg oil exactly the same as I would do the ones in batter as I have dithched the deep fat fryer. Anyway all consumed now and no sign of heart attacks in the house. Very nice too, 9/10. If I had cooked them in butter I would have got a 10..........
