Wrong, wrong, wrong,,, had it for first time a couple of years back when me and Annie were up Scotland (Leith), did post about it at the time, ended up in Ship on the Shore, my dad would be turning in his grave,,, it was a rough as hell dock pub, go go dancers lunch time, cheep beer and a good fight,,, now, cheapest bottle of house wine £26 quid,,,,,,,,,, so it wad, a bottle of that, mussels to share as a starter then two fish pies and kale and bacon,,, it was yum,,, I make it now, frying pan, blob of butter, same amount of olive oil, half a pack of Asda smoked bacon langons, half a pack Asda kale, four cloves garlic, salt pepper,,,, garlic and bacon in butter and oil in frying pan with seasoning 10m, add kale, cover and cook/steam 20m, oh, remove kale stalks and cut kale in to two inch bits, use as a side dish for anything...

Oh, use rock salt, need to crunch it...

not sure if that boat is still there. Didn't see it in November. Think it was used in an episode of Rebus ( as a rough as feck club ).

Well if the boats (the Ocean Mist) gone they would have had to dismantle it in place cos that part of the river (Water of Leith) is basically landlocked now, the Ocean Mist is right in the centre of the picture below, and at the top centre of the picture there is an old swing bridge that ain't been open for decades, plus they built a fixed bridge absolute mid top of picture when they relayed the roads through the docks as it got yuppie fied, Ocean Drive the name of the road...

But even if there was access to the sea from where it's moored they'd have a bit of a problem, there is now only about a foot of water there now, rivers totally silted up since they put lock gates at the mouth of the docks, was even badly silted up back in the 1930s when my dads mate as a joke jumped off the bridge just to the stern of the boat, he'd fell out with his brother and jokingly jumped in the river saying he was gonna kill himself, he did, my dad says he went in and never came up again, low tide he was found stuck in the mud and silt...

The Shore of leith was the docks at one time, will see if I can find any old photos...
