Things you don't do anymore.

I'll start off with a 2 or 3.

You don't have to wiggle the set-top TV aerial about to get a better picture.

Nobody gets up to change channel or switch the TV off.
You don't buy fire-lighters or kindling.
You don't have to grease the roller bearings on the mangle.

Blimey, Err, Go right round the car locking all the doors, Pay the milkman, Queue to pay a bill.

Don't need co-op milk tokens anymore...

Drink 10 pints and wakeup the next day none the worse

Get the feeler gauges out to set the points in the distributor cap...

Use public transport ?, Stand in the hallway with the phone,

Buy fags in a british shop. Buy fuel in a garage...........

E when i was a lad, You would be working on a car and the bell would ring when a car drove over the rubber pipe on the forcourt, You wiped your hands and served whoever, Can you check my oil and water young man, Feck me, and my tyres, Jeez a full fecking service, lucky if you kept the change, Oh, And two squirts of redex, Charge £180 for that now,

I used to work in a garage too, and mend punctures too, here y'are lad heres a tanner......

Our local garage in our wee village had one of them hoses that rang a bell. It was a "Fina" garage first, then the petrol supplier changed to "National". I used to have a metal badge with the logo on.
It looked like this...

Mine was Esso, If you stood still long enough they stamped Esso on you too, Always had a scam going to sell more stuff, You got points for the tin foil strips off oil cans, half a million got you a toaster with Esso stamped on it, Punters stood baffeld at the till picking their cars up, Right sir, 1full service, £12 labour, 4 plugs, set of points, 1 condencer, oil filter, air filter, And 25 pints of oil, 25 ? yes sir 25, No cards in them days, we had to tip them upside down to get paid, Or no car, You got a loaf of bread for 25 tokens, to go with your Esso toaster,

I don't send letters anymore.

I don't go to a bank anymore.

I don't buy films for my camera anymore.

I don't wear a watch anymore (threw it away when I retired).

I don't post on TF anymore.

I have never been in a phone box for years, except when I was caught short one time...

Take a rattle to a football match.

Put on a shirt and tie for a day by the sea.

Have dripping on toast with plenty salt.

I don't have a Dad or Granddad anymore, but I am now both myself.

Comedy is very different, not as much memorable comedy around.
