I always feel if I read a paper book or a newspaper I get more enjoyment than reading it by looking at a screen.

Remember them dynamos, you had to peddle twice as hard to get as much light as a couple of candles would give off.

A starter motor is the same as a dynamo but backwards, so not useless, unless you like the starting handles.......

We used to start our cement mixers in the army with a starting handle. Dangerous buggers would try and kick back...

Very true, I did an installation course for those things. Ridiculous money. The only way they would make sense was if you got a decent price for selling back to the grid. I think its only about 2.5 pence in the UK. It would probably take a lifetime to get your money back and at that stage, you would have to replace them.

Never put your thumbs over, Always to the side, I had an austin champ, 4ltr RR engine, 24volt, 2 Speed dynamo on it, That had a starting handle, took two of you to lift the blady thing, Used to dread using the handle, Amazing motor that was, Got a Willy's Jeep still, But the champ was best on the road, Some twat nicked it,
