No it's not. This is still a holiday in Scotland, we don't get Good Friday like you do...

Shops are open here. Got a diesel filter for Patsys car, goes much faster now........ 

Shops are open here too...they don't want to miss out!

Remember when I was a kid, New Year's Day all the men went to the football and the women to the shops cos the sales started that day...

What you mean you don't get Good Friday ? How come its different in England?

We just get Easter Monday. Probably to cancel out the 2nd January.

What's also different in Scotland to England is the dates of the bank holidays are country wide in England,  whereas in Scotland they can differ from area to area, the main ones Christmas, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and the 2nd of January plus Easter Monday are country wide, but the other three can be on different dates, take the August bank holiday, it could be at the start of August in the Glasgow area, then two weeks later the Edinburgh area, then a week after that the Aberdeen area,,, we had depots, Inverness, Peterhead, Aberdeen, Dundee, Stirling, Edinburgh, Livingston and Glasgow, feckin nightmare it was organising things around all the different bank holidays, whereas in England it was still a bit of a nightmare but at least it all happened on the same day...

It's still different in BT with all the different areas having different local holidays. Our stores drivers all have keys for the different engineering centres though, so they can deliver when they like.

Never know when its a bank holiday in Tenerife either, all different area to area.  We only do one saints day for a whole country, plus St Nicks of course.

Been a nightmare here for us with meat as trying to get what we want fresh and everywhere is closed
