Re: Galway
If you are going into O'Connor's, will you find out the name of that band last night?

Sorry Dermot, missed this before we left. Just back in from there now. 3 lads again but different, 1 played guitar and harmonica, 2nd played guitar, banjo and them big feckin' metal Irish whistles and 3rd guy on one of those new cajun drums/boxes. (he sits on the fecker as he plays it!). Excellent bit of kit, saves the poor drummer having to set up a whole load of drums etc. They asked for requests all night but only about a quarter of them got played...

Its nice in Kinvara. Thats only about 15 min from us. Some good restaurants and a couple of pubs that I must investigate further at some stage.

Re: Galway
We drove out to Lisdoonvarna and on to Ennistimon then the rain battered down so we came back again. 5 minutes later all sunshine again. Also drove round that Flaggy Shore loop, very nice! Where the feck are the public toilets in Ireland? Couldn't find any anywhere so we went into some Supermarket called Val-U something or other...they didn't have any either. Had to go and buy a coffee just to have a piss! The Burren was looking nice in the sunshine. We were behind a coach for a wee while and it turned up the Ailwee cave road, bugger that, I kept going!

Re: Galway
Public toilets are located in a pub usually at the far end, which means you have to walk by the bar and if you find yourself in a pub on such an occasion, it would only be the decent thing to do , and buy a pint to show your gratitude for the use of their facilities
