Re: Mobile Phone...
Have a look on Amazon as well. They sometimes have brilliant deals for 24 hours or the like.

Re: Mobile Phone...
Looking to change my sim contract, I'm with 02 at the moment £10 a month on a no contract deal, for that I get 250 minutes of calls, 1000 texts and 500MB of data, I never get through the calls or text allowance but since getting the new phone Dermo advised me on I could do with more data, plus I'm also using the iPad via the same sim since the laptop jacked it... I've come across the Giffgaff deal detailed below, £20 per month no contract, unlimited calls texts and data, but there is a restriction on the data I don't fully understand, the restriction is detailed in the third picture below in the section headed "What does 'Allways On Data' mean?" It states data speed will reduce to 256kbps during the day after 6GB of data has been used, does this mean Internet use will be useless after the 6GB at 4G speed has been used up and the speed drops to this 256kbps ???
I've been looking around for a better sim deal for a bit now and this one looked good due to the unlimited everything and no contract but does the restriction really take back to a 6GB deal, if so there are deals out there with 6GB of data for about £10 per month, ideally I need about 15GB per month, when laptop was working I accessed the Internet via a monthly deal dongle and that gave me 15GB which I got near to using up but never did...
Any advice on the data speed issue or any better sim deals will be appreciated...

Re: Mobile Phone...
Ya, if you go over the 6GB, the phone will slow to a crawl. 256kb per sec is the old dial up speed internet of 20 years ago. However, 6GB is a pretty big amount. a 90 min HD movie would use 1.5 to 2GB, so you should have plenty. Google what plan is most popular with kids in the UK. They dont give a shit about calls or texts but want loads of data. They use apps to keep in contact e.g "What's App" allows you to ring, video call or text and costs nothing ( but will obviously use up data )

Re: Mobile Phone...
I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand Minty, 6GB is a lot of data. we would just about hit that mark here at home and there are 5 of us using wifi.
