Been in UK where Jan is having a hip replacement, she chose UK because of her language barrier and because the hospital she has chosen is renowned for excellence in this field. I have been quiet since back as I came back unwell. Mist know I don't do ill, I ignore it or just laugh it off but this was a real bad chest infection and it turned me over. On the mend now but two days of struggling to breathe nearly made me change my name to Vince

Everytime you come to England you get ill. Or, more likely, everytime you get on a plane. When my trouble started, years ago now, it would manifest itself when suddenly going into the cold. I also noticed it was worse if there was high air pressure and of course on a plane you go from extremely low pressure up in the sky to a sudden increase in pressure at landing. It got that bad for me that I had to stop walking from plane to immigration just to catch my breath, especially when landing in UK in the winter. It would also cause coughing fits too. You have probably never noticed but many peeps on the plane will start coughing as it descends. Not confined to smokers either. It causes fluid to build up in the little air sacs in yer lungs rendering that bit useless. A similar thing can happen with divers who come up too quickly. The bends its called. Anyway the doc has provided me with a couple of puffers. A blue one which works short time and a pink one I'm supposed to use twice a day. Although sometimes I forget.   The pink one is absolute magic, couple of blasts on that as I come in to land and I'm head of the queue.   What they do is open up the tiny final airways in your lungs so oxygen can get in yer blood! As a matter of interest I went on line to see how much the pink ones were if you wanted to buy privately. Jeez, over a hundred quid. Consequently I'm building up a little stockpile of free NHS ones, just in case I wanna spend 3 months in Tenerife or summat. Kev, go and see the doc mate. Might just be ashtma related in which case the blue ones (cheap) will have the desired effect and relief. OK, good morning then.
