off topic Meerkats !!!

Howard told me he dont like cats (at least I think thats what he said) and especially meercats. I'm not that keen on cats either, but I love meercats, so the avatars staying.

I bought 4 meerkat ornaments last weekend...bargain. £36 for the lot.

Seen Meerkats in the flesh at the Jungle Park, Very small, I love watching them on the tele, Remember Flower ?. Tough she was,

Meerkat Manor (now spelt correctly) was a great little series. I've seem them in a zoo somewhere too. I was surprised they are only about a foot tall, imagined they were bigger. Dont think they are related to cats anyway. Fascinating creatures.

I have seen meerkats in the bush, they are cute little things. Do you know why the kat bit is spelt with a "k" and not a "c"?

It's because there is no "c" in the Afrikaans alphabet, thing is I have no idea why

There is! however Cape Town is in english and Kaap Stad would be the Afrikaans

I always thought the meerkat was a place in Kirkcaldy, could never understand all the TV advertising about comparing it, compare it to what, Barlinnie?



So LR did you go down to the meerkat to get your meerkats, or since they have a Christmas theme, was it the Christmas meerkat where you purchased them.
