Poor wee bairn! I used to hate taking ours for their jabs, you could hear them screaming the other side of town!

Re: What are you doing today??
Remember being in an apartment in Lanz, it was like that, any more than a coupling of things on electricity cut out,,,, met up with friends who lived out there, was telling them about dodgy electrics in apartment, they say it's meant to do that, even in their brand new house, would seem the power stations were a bit limited in what they could produce so all houses were limited to what they draw at any one time,,, that would be a bit over ten years back now, don't know if the situations changed...

Re: What are you doing today??
Remember a couple of years back being in a big mainly outdoor terraces bar overlooking Porto Colon Beach, bar was decked out Moroccan style, there were loads of big lamps and fairy lights everywhere, looked OK, problem, everything was running of miles of extension cables all over the terrace leading back in to the bar area which was inside,,, just wouldn't happen in the UK, I also remember thinking what happens if there's a quick downpour, this wasn't low voltage wiring, this was 240v...

Re: What are you doing today??
That said we have our own spaghetti junction, there is one socket in the kitchen worktop area, electric kettle owns that one, but be carefull as kettle cable runs right over the hob... In the water heater cupboard a spur has been run in, top left, is the high electricity demand water heater plugged directly in to the spur, no, in to the spur is plugged a cheap four socket extension (behind the spaghetti) in to which the water heater is plugged,,, oh and what else is plugged in to the extension and probably the reason for it being there,,, the bling bling lighting strip above the sink...

Re: What are you doing today??
Brother having an echo gram and angiogram as we speak. Spent the night on a trolley in A&E last night ( and ye think the NHS is bad, his insurance will be charged @ 1800 for the privilege) . He has been transferred to the Galway Clinic private hospital and had the above tests done within 40 minutes of arrival. He's praying he won't have to have a by pass cos and I quote " i won't be able to swing a feckin' golf club for 6 months ". Ah well, as long as he has his priorities right this is the guy who was getting completely stressed out over my folks. Hope he has learned his lesson.

Re: What are you doing today??
Today I'm going to attempt to spray paint. I have 10 ft high panels of medite to undercoat and I reckon spraying will save me about 6 hours. Bought a cheap sprayer in Aldi last week just to see if I'm any good. Blady thing probably won't even start for me lol
