Re: Culinary delight thread...
Went for lunch today at The Village Inn, Pitlessie. Delicious! I had Crispy pork belly with cider jus, blackpudding and sage crushed potatoes and roasted beetroot and carrots finished off with Strawberry and basil cheesecake with Autumn fruits and ice cream. Mermaid had seared supreme chicken with dauhinoise potaoes, roasted carrots and parsnips and had the same desert but with pouring creme.

Went to Frankie and Bennys for lunch. I had a 10" Hawaiian pizza, then went to the toilet and learned to speak some Italian. I have 2 children..."Due bambini".

Well tonight Mathew it's Tenerife reflection time, I love mussels, cook them various ways, my dad always insisted with cream, I got a bit sick of it so for years I've never had them with cream, were in a bar for a mid afternoon beer, the Sun King on Las Vistas beach, in front of Torres del Sol, I fancy a nibble, mussels in cream were on the menus, so it's one to share,,, yum, I think we were back three times for it,,, so:-

You should start your own blog or website. stick the recepies up on it. The only thing I can cook from absolute scratch is bacn and cabbage and thats not exactly hard. I do make my own white sauce though with scallions through it when i can get them.

Just back from the Sheiling Restaurant in Gairloch. Had Braised steak and onions with roast pots and veg but couldn't do it justice. Badly mis-timed our meal times today and wasn't ready for it...

We both had gammon steak tonight. 1/2" thick and massive! I'm not used to these large portions...

Re: Culinary delight thread...
And last night Mathew salmon marinated in teriyaki sauce, garlic and chilli on top of a oyster sauce stir fry consisting of onion, spring onion, green pepper, mushrooms, chilli, garlic, bean sprouts, pak choi, noodles, soy and oyster sauce...
10/10, one of the best meals I've had for ages be it at home or in a restaurant, I normally split the stir fry in to two dishes one with soy sauce and one oyster sauce but last night I was being lazy and done it as one dish, yum, that's how it will be getting done in future...
